My overall goal with my skin care routine is to use the most natural and simple products as possible. I really enjoy knowing the name and purpose of every ingredient that I put on my skin.
I’ve been playing around with different all-natural DIY skin care products for about three years now. These are absolutely my go to and I n
Make-Up Remover – Coconut Oil
I grab about 1/2 tsp of coconut oil and warm it in my hands until it is liquid. I apply it directly onto my face. Then, I use a cotton pad or wash cloth to wipe off my make-up.
Cleanser – Dr. Bronners Castile Soap
While most of the coconut oil (make-up remover) is still on my face, I grab a few pumps of the foaming Castile soap and cleanse my face. Then, I rise with warm water and use a wash cloth to pat dry.
Dr. Bronners Castile Soap is used pretty much every where in my home. But for my face and body wash I add about 1/2 cup of Castile soap to a foaming soap dispenser and fill the rest up with water.
Toner – Witch Hazel
Then, I dampen a cotton pad with all natural witch hazel and wipe my entire face with the cotton pad. It feels great and your skin will feel incredibly clean afterwards.
Witch Hazel is made from all the the parts of the Hamamelis Virginiana plant. Everyone who has ever had a baby knows the natural soothing power of witch hazel.
Moisturizer – Rosehip Oil
Rosehip oil is a great all natural moisturizer and a little bit goes a long way. I apply a few drops (or one pump of the product above) onto my hands rub them in my hands and pat gently onto my face.
This is extremely nourishing and light. I have very sensitive skin and this works great for me.
I hope this encourages you to maybe try out a natural product or two. They are all incredibly affordable and cruelty free.
Thanks for taking time out of your day to hang out here.
