I don’t know about you, but my skin and cool/cold weather don’t get along too well. In fact, I’d say that they hate each other.
Since we have horses, we are at the barn in all sorts of weather conditions. I’m mucking stalls, filling water troughs, and busting ice out of water buckets…all that fun stuff often in below freezing temperatures. Before I took self-care seriously, my hands would crack until the bled in cool/cold weather. Too much information? Maybe, so I’ll move on.
I have tried lotion after lotion, but I could never stick to one because I absolutely hate the feel of it on my skin. Finally last year, I sat down and played around with ingredients to make a simple all natural sugar scrub that is also moisturizing. I really need to emphasize the moisturizing aspect of this scrub.
Personally for my skin, I don’t need to use anything but this all winter long. No extra lotion or oil – I repeat no lotion at all – this is it! I step out of the shower with super soft and moisturized skin every time.
