Milk kefir was my first fermentation love, and will always have a special place in my heart. I try (especially around cold and flu season) to drink it and have the kids drink it daily.
It’s been going well for the first couple of years making milk kefir. However, recently the kids have started to tire of smoothies. I do not understand this sentiment.
This is my new remedy to break up the smoothie monotony.
Milk Kefir Popsicles!!
SHHH! It’s basically a glorified extra sweet smoothie in a popsicle form. But they haven’t noticed.
These are our new favorite dessert/snack that is packed with natural probiotics. More than you’d even find in the expensive pills.
A simple probiotic rich dessert for those hot days. If your child is younger I suggest omitting the strawberry slices to avoid chocking. The avocado is optional but it adds an extra sweet creaminess to the popsicle. If you child doesn't mind a slightly sour taste you can make with 1 cup of kefir instead of 1/2 kefir and 1/2 regular milk.Milk Kefir Fruit Popsicles

I know summer is coming to an end but we are going to keep making these popsicles as long as they continue to absolutely love these. We will keep making different variations with different fruits. These are absolutely fantastic and taste like dessert.
If you give them a try let us know!
Thank-you so much for taking time out of your day to hang out here.
