Who doesn’t like a bath bomb? Okay, well I don’t because I think baths are gross. A wonderfully piping hot shower is where it’s at. That’s way I’m a big fan of these shower melts.
These shower melts are a great way of getting that luxury explosive aroma without the bath bomb experience. Personally, I make these with Doterra’s Breathe or Eucalyptus and Peppermint for when any of us have a cold. They really open up those air ways when you are all stuffed up.
Just toss them onto the shower floor, at the end away from the steady stream of water so it lasts longer, and enjoy!
Oh and by the way…this can make bath bombs too. But be sure not to use harsh essential oils for those, like Breathe or Eucalyptus. I’d go for more of a Lavender, Bergamot, Rosemary, Cedar wood, or Roman Chamomile for a bath bomb.
Ingredients:
2 c. Baking Soda
3/4 c. Corn Starch
1/2 c. Citric Acid (this is at your local grocery store, look in the canning section)
10-20 drops Essential Oils (lavender, eucalyptus, lemon, peppermint, etc)
1/4 cup Witch Hazel
5-10 drops Food Coloring (optional)
Instructions:
1. Mix together the Baking Soda, Corn Starch, Citric Acid, Essential Oils, and Food Coloring (if you’re using it). I recommend doing this outside to help ventilate because the citric acid can be strong.
5. Remove them from their molds.
